The Alva Middle School Goldbugs opened up their season against the Mooreland Bearcats on Tuesday evening at the Alva High School football field with a big win to kick off the new year with momentum.
Although Mooreland started the game with possession, Alva had no trouble holding their offense to just five yards as they got the ball within two minutes of the start of the first.
