Temperatures were in the low 70s Monday morning around start time of Kiowa's 32nd Labor Day 5K Race. However, the humidity pretty well hit you in the face when you stepped outside.
That didn't stop 412 runners and walkers from registering for the event that was supposed to shoot off at 8:20 a.m. The race didn't start until a little after 8:30 because of all the people who did not pre-register and waited to do so Monday morning, race director Kent McBrayer confirmed.
