Rangers show improvement on final day

SHAWNEE – The Northwestern men’s golf team showed major improvement in the final round of the Oklahoma Baptist invitational at Shawnee Country Club.

The Rangers shot a 315 for the day, 13 strokes better than the first round of competition. Freshman Parker Rehorn made a 10-stroke turn around by posting a 77 in the second round. Every player except one improved on their score from round one.

Conference foe Southern Arkansas took home the team title with a two-day total of 586, led by the individual champion Kyle Gordon, who fired a five-under total of 137. Northwestern finished with a total of 6...
