CLAREMORE, Okla. (Sept. 30, 2016) – Jake Simpson's golden goal in overtime stunned No. 3-ranked St. Edward's as the Rogers State men's soccer team won, 2-1, on Thursday at Soldier Field, handing the Hilltoppers their first conference loss since 2013.
Simpson knocked in the game-winning golden goal in the 95th minute to down the No. 3-ranked Hilltoppers, 2-1. Nail Smith sent in a free kick that bounced around in the box until Simpson fired it into the goal, his team-leading fourth of the season.
