I'm writing to express my disgust and disappointment I feel when I see the event sponsored by Kiowa District Hospital and Manor Foundation on Oct. 22.

I'm a bail bondsman and bond out about 30-40 people every month from jail. About 90 percent, if not more, are related to or the result of beer, wine, alcohol or drugs. How many patients does the hospital treat because of alcohol? DUI, domestic abuse, addiction and many more! You are dedicated to saving lives and yet you promote death and illness by such a “fundraiser.” Please wise up and get real! Why give a child a can o...
