KIOWA, Kansas – Nola Yvonne Wiedman was born on September 13, 1924, to Edna and Gus Scott in Andover, Kansas. She was the oldest of eight children born to the Scotts. She graduated from Andover High School in 1942 and went to work at Cessna Aircraft factory until the war ended. Nola married Charles August Wiedman July 16, 1950. She then moved to Kiowa, Kansas, where she lived until her death on December 9, 2016. Nola worked as a bookkeeper in Kiowa for a number of years and kept books for her husband’s welding shop.
