Jones' Double-Double Leads Lady Bison Basketball to Big Win over Crowley's Ridge

SEARCY – Sydnie Jones came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Harding women's basketball team to an 81-30 win over NAIA Crowley's Ridge at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House. It was Harding's final non-conference game of the season.

Harding improves to 7-2 overall and Crowley's Ridge falls to 3-11.
FIRST QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Harding opened the game with a 7-0 run. Crowley's Ridge hit two free throws for their only points in the first quarter. The Lady Bisons led 22-2 at the break. Falan Miller had eight points, hitting 3-of-3 from the field, including two 3-pointers. Harding held the Lady Pioneers to shooting 0-for-12 in the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Harding continued to build on its lead in the second quarter as the Lady Bisons led by as much as 34. Harding led 46-12 at halftime. Harding had seven blocks in the quarter as it held Crowley's Ridge to shooting 20 percent (4-of-20). Caroline Hogue had three of the Lady Bisons blocks. Harding was led by Sydney Layrock who had seven points.
THIRD QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Harding extended its lead to 42 on a layup by Sydnie Jones in the third quarter with 1:15 left. The Lady Bisons led 63-24 after the third quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS
Harding took its largest lead of 51 when Jenni Nadeau hit a field goal with 12 seconds remaining in the game. Nedeau scored all of her eight points in the quarter. Harding outscored Crowley's Ridge 18-6.
TEAM/INDIVIDUAL STATS
Falan Miller finished with 10 points, making 4-of-4 field goals for Harding. Caroline Hogue grabbed 10 rebounds for the fifth time this season. She tied a season-high with four blocks.
Harding shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64). It was the fourth time this season the Lady Bisons have shot over 50 percent in a game.
Harding held Crowley's Ridge to shooting 20.0 percent (12-of-60). It was the second time this season the Lady Bisons have held their opponent to shooting under 30 percent.
Harding tied a school record of 11 blocks in the game. The Lady Bisons had as many at Northwestern Oklahoma in 2013.
NEXT GAME
Harding will take the next couple of weeks off before gearing up for the remaining Great American Conference games. The Lady Bisons will be back in action when they host East Central on Jan. 5 at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes-Reaves Field House.
