2017 Basketball: Lady Cougars making big improvements from last year

The Aline-Cleo High School Lady Cougars finished another tough year during the 2015-2016 season with an overall record of 2-22.

Under new head coach Mark Burdine, the Lady Cougars have improved greatly from last year's record with six wins under their belts just before Christmas break.

The Lady Cougars return eight lettermen from last season that include one senior, two juniors and a sophomore to the starting lineup.

The lone senior returning for a new season is Casey Edwards, who leads the way as Aline's top scorer averaging 22 points a game along with 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.2 steals...
