Goldbugs fall short against Chisholm

CHISHOLM – The Alva High School Goldbugs had a tough start in their third meeting with the Chisholm Longhorns Friday night.

Though Brooks Hadwiger gave Alva the early lead of the night with floater in the paint, Scott Grebe led the way for the Longhorns on a 12-4 run with nine points. Chisholm led by as much as 13 points in that first quarter, but Alva held them to just 11 points in the second quarter. Alva trailed the Longhorns 19-30 going into the second half.

Coming out of the halftime, Alva battled back against Chisholm outscoring them in the third 19-14. The Goldbugs got their second lead...
