AHS wears blue in support of the family of Bladimir Mesta, a Hooker high school student who lost his life in an accident.
Alva High School (AHS) wore blue for Blad on Monday, Jan. 24. Bladimir Mesta, 17, of Hooker, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, due to a pedestrian/car accident on Thursday, Jan. 19. Blad was a cross country runner at Hooker High School.
AHS also had a fundraiser for the Mesta family where students could pay $1 to wear a hat for a day. Quite a bit of money was raised for the family of Blad. AHS gladly supports the family and community of Hooker during this tough time....
