A letter-of-intent signing occurred Wednesday at Alva High School when Goldbug senior Ethan Harzman agreed to play football for NWOSU next fall. Pictured on the back row are all of the AHS football coaches: (from left) Derrick Thomas, Mike Claflin, Taylor Schwrdtfeger, Ryne Wilson and Mike Shklar.
The Alva High School library was filled with classmates of senior Ethan Harzman Wednesday afternoon to cheer him on in signing a letter of intent to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University and play football for the Rangers. Harzman was a very effective multi-position player for the Goldbugs during his high school career.
Coach Taylor Schwerdtfeger said, "This is really exciting for Ethan. It's also exciting for Alva to have kids go on and continue their football career and attend college. It's good for the other kids to see how hard work will pay off. We couldn't be represented by a bett...
