HSU Baseball Improves to 3-0 with Win Over PSU, Hooten Captures 150th Win

Henderson State combined for eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings to beat Pittsburg State 9-2, Saturday in Fort Smith.

With the victory, the Reddies improved to 3-0 on the season with head coach Cody Hooten picking up his 150th win at Henderson.

The Reddies struck first as Alan Hall led off the game with a single to left field, stole second and later scored on a ground out by Jordan Taylor.

Pittsburg State answered with a run in the fourth and took a lead the following inning as Hunter Clanin doubled and scored on a sacrifice bunt.

The Reddies put together five hits in the sixth-inning...
