Student who secretly recorded instructor is suspended

COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — A California college student who secretly videotaped his instructor making anti-Trump statements was suspended and told to write a letter of apology and an essay about the incident.

Orange Coast College suspended Caleb O'Neil for the current semester and the summer term, saying he violated policy prohibiting recording someone on district property without that person's consent.
