Funeral services for Ona Lee Treadway will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Smith, pastor of Alva Wesleyan Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Ona Lee Treadway, daughter of the late Mack C. and Cora Lee (Black) Wyckoff, was born May 31, 1918, at Enid, Oklahoma, and passed away Saturday morning, February 18, 2017, at Share Convalescent Home in Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 98 years, 8 months and 18 days.

After Ona Lee graduated from Enid High School, she attended Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University). On June 4, 1941, she was united in marriage to Leo Elmer Treadway at Enid. They lived in New Jersey, where he worked as a chemical engineer. After his retirement in 1973, they returned to Alva.

Ona Lee was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in both Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, and Alva, Oklahoma. As a young girl, Ona Lee was a member of the Rainbow Girls. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing, but she also wrote some very fine poetry.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, on December 29, 2002, and one brother, Carl Wyckoff.

Ona Lee is survived by one son, Leo Eldon Treadway of St. Paul, Minnesota; one daughter, Linda Treadway-Dillmon and husband, Randy, of Fountain Valley, California; three cousins, John Wyckoff of Oklahoma City, David Wyckoff and wife, Shelly, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Jerry White of Beaumont, Texas; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Share Convalescent Home.
