Softball drops two close games to Arkansas Tech in home opener

Madi Parot hits a hard ground ball to shortstop in the bottom of the first against Arkansas Tech in Game Two on Friday. Parot finished the game hitting 1-of-3 at the plate.

After 12 road games to open the 2017 season, Northwestern Oklahoma State's softball team hosted the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns in an afternoon doubleheader at the Alva Recreation Complex. In what turned out to be a cold and windy twin-bill, the Rangers were handed two losses in the conference opener.
