Tigers drop opener to Tech, 6-3

 


ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' baseball team dropped their weekend-series opener to Arkansas Tech by a final score of 6-3. Preston Speers accounted for two of the Tigers' three hits, including a game tying two-run homerun. John Franklin Matros took the loss, going 7.2 innings.

Arkansas Tech took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Tigers answered in the bottom of the second. Speers led the inning off with a double down the left field line. He later scored from third on a wild pitch. The game remained knotted at 1-1 until the top of the fifth inning. The Wonder Boys...
