SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist returns to action in Orlando, Florida, Wednesday with matches against Millersville and St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Lady Bison are 11-1 on the season and on a 10-match win streak. Alex Bowers, Kim Moosbacher and Olivia Charvat are 11-1 on the season and Rouxanne Janse van Rensburg is 10-1 in singles.
Bowers, with her win Monday, tied the Lady Bison record with her 24th career win at No. 5 singles. She shares the record with Brooke Mowery, who won in that slot for the last time in 2009.
Should Bowers break the record, she will join teammate Madeleine Boepple as a career slot record holder. Boepple this season has six wins at No. 4 singles to push her total to 22 wins there for her career.
Millersville, located in Millersville, Pennsylvania, is 0-4 this season. St. Thomas Aquinas, located in Sparkill, New York, is 5-8, including a 7-2 win over Millersville in Orlando.
