Interview with Tim Bradley, Alva City Council candidate for Ward 1, Seat 1

March 26, 2017

"I'm a working class person who wants to see more things for families in Alva."

Tim Bradley works at BancCentral and is married with children. He has lived in Alva for many years and went to school here. Bradley would like to see more community involvement with city decision-making and a transparent council.

"I just want to make sure that we have a transparent and efficient use of our budget," Bradley said.

Bradley said what needs to be improved in Alva is the health care and streets. He would like to see more choices in health services and family-geared services.

Bradley stated that what sets him apart from other candidates is that he doesn't have a vested interest in one particular business, is unbiased, and is "just a working class person" who wants to see more things for families in Alva.

"I like to network and meet people and see what's going on," he said. "Since I'm not biased about anything, I'm able to work with varying types of people on a bunch of different levels."

Bradley said the school system is important to him, "especially the teachers," who had a positive impact on his schooling and contributed to his success. He wants to make sure "Alva continues to be a place that they'd want to live" and that attracts quality teachers.
