Event will focus on measuring the size of the universe


OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The next Omaha science cafe will focus on the techniques astronomers use to measure the distance between stars and the size of the universe.

A physics professor from the University of Nebraska at Omaha will be featured at the event.

Vincent Woolf will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th St. in Omaha.

Science Cafes are free educational events sponsored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center to increase people's science literacy. They are open to everyone 21 and older. Go online at for more information about Science Cafes
