Harvey improves on provisional times in 100, 200 at Friends Invitational

 


WICHITA, Kan. (April 8, 2017) – Oklahoma Christian freshman Lawanda Harvey improved her NCAA Division II provisional qualifying times in the 100 meters and 200 meters in the Friends Invitational, which ended Saturday at Adair Austin Stadium.

Harvey finished third among 27 runners in the 100 in 11.90 seconds and won the 200, besting a field of 40 runners in 24.02 seconds. Her fellow sprinters Kayla Parker (12.34 seconds in the 100) and Allegra Sloan (27.55 seconds in the 200) also recorded personal-best times in those events, as did 100-meter hurdlers Ivy Lobley (14.93 seconds) and Jordyn Willi...
