Storm Split With Rangers

 


ALVA, Okla. — A Katelyn Brown shutout helped Southern Nazarene steal the opening game with a 2-0 over Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Rangers took the second game 3-2 Friday afternoon.

After a scoreless first and second, Southern Nazarene (12-27, 8-19 GAC) jumped on the scoreboard. Kriston Shumaker led the inning off with a walk and came around to score after Mahina Sauer homered to left. It was Sauer's third home run of the year, and her second consecutive game with a home run.

The two runs proved to be enough for the Storm as Katelyn Brown (10-11) was able to shut down the Ranger offense. B...
