ENID, Okla. — Zach Birkle recorded his second straight win after the freshman gave up just one hit in 2.1 innings of relief in a 7-5 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State in a non-conference game.

Austin Cooper went 3-for-5 with an RBI while Dillon Feland, Tyler Stevens and Anthony Wiggins all went 2-for-5. Feland and Stevens scored two runs while Wiggins scored one. Stevens also drove in a run.

The Crimson Storm jumped out early in the top of the first with a 3-0 lead. Tyler Stevens drove home the first run with a single up the middle before he came around to scored on a Northwestern error. Austin Cooper drove home the final run of the inning with a single to short that scored Anthony Wiggins.

The Rangers got on the board in the bottom of the second to make it 3-2. The Storm threatened in the top of the third by loading the bases with two outs, but the left all three stranded. Southern Nazarene took advantage of another Ranger error in the top of the fourth with the bases loaded to make it 4-2.

Northwestern Oklahoma State tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with two, but Jefferson Harris put the Storm back up in the top of the fifth with a solo shot to left field for his third home run of the year. The Rangers tied it in the bottom of the sixth on a sacrifice fly and that lead carried into the ninth.

Tyler Stevens kept hope alive for SNU with a two-out single through the right side. He then scored on the fourth error of the night by the Rangers before Mike Descisciolo scored on a wild pitch.

Reggie Lindsey went six inning and left with the game tied at five as he allowed all five runs on eight hits. He struck out five in the no decision. Joe Toilolo walked one of three batters he faced in 0.2 innings of relief before turning the game over to Birkle. The freshman gave up a hit in his first batter faced and didn't give up another hit the rest of the way.
