South Barber High School track qualifies six events for state Friday

 


Competing in Class 1A at the regional level, the South Barber High School track team qualified six events for the Kansas state track meet starting this Friday in Wichita, Kansas. The event is at Wichita State University-Cessna Stadium.

Head track coach for South Barber is Steve Roberts. He provided the following results for his team members who qualified for state from their performance at regionals.

Cole Coggins placed fourth in 200 meters with a time of 24.43, and second in 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.56.

Gavin Doherty placed second in the 400-meter with a 52.61 time.

In the 4x100 relay, the team placed third with a time of 46.61. Team members are Neil Gugelmeyer, Cole Coggins, Gavin Doherty and Trevor Rooks.

Throwing the javelin, Sabrina Hughbanks placed third with 113 feet, 11 inches.

Savannah Hughbanks placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.69.
