Cross country kicks off season in Edmond at UCO Land Run

EDMOND, Okla. — The Women's cross country team began the 2017 campaign under new head coach Jill Lancaster at the UCO land run. The ladies competed in a 5k race and came away with a 12th overall finish.

Kayla Gourley a junior from Wichita, Kansas in her first race as a member of the red and black was the first Ranger to cross the finish line with a time of 21:06, carrying her all the way to 10th on the All-Time list at Northwestern.

Finishing not too long behind Gourley was another newcomer to the Ranger Runners Kendy Salinas a freshmen from Guymon, Okla. who crossed the line with a time of 22...
