Reddies Race Past Langston 3-0

ADA, Okla. - Kamra Jackson had 10 digs and seven kills and fellow sophomore Courtney Bolf had nine digs and eight kills, as Henderson State breezed past Langston 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-6) on Thursday night at the 2017 Tiger Invitational in Ada, Oklahoma.

SET ONE: Henderson jumped on Langston 13-3 in the first frame and used 12 Lady Lions' errors to fuel a 25-8 rout and go up 1-0 in the match. Courtney Bolf had six kills in the set for the Reddies.

SET TWO: Much like the first set, the Reddies got out to a 13-3 advantage, this time behind three kills from both Kamra Jackson and Violet Williams. Langston closed the gap to single digits at 18-9, but Henderson took seven of the final 11 points to win it 25-13. The Reddies had five service aces in the set, three from Bolf and two from Sariah Boney.

SET THREE: Leading 2-0, Henderson ended things quickly in the final set, streaking out to a 16-2 lead and ultimately taking it 25-6 to win the match handily, 3-0. Karli Greene came through with six of her seven kills in the set to lead the Reddies.

Game Notes: Sydney Skelton had 14 digs for Henderson to lead the Reddies' defensive efforts, while Adrianna Hartmann had four blocks at the net. Both setters, Boney and Danika Daum, had solid games, as Boney finished with 17 assists and Daum notched 14.

Up Next: The Reddies play two more games tomorrow at the 2017 Tiger Invitational. The first game begins at 9 a.m. when Henderson takes on Dallas Baptist and the second starts at 3 p.m. as the Reddies face Cameron.
