SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's Sydney Lawrence earned her first-ever Great American Conference Runner of the Week honors, it was announced by the GAC Wednesday.
Lawrence, a junior from Stilwell, Oklahoma, led the Lady Bison to a third-place finish, out of 33 competing teams, at the Southern Stampede. She finished eighth with a time of 17:39.86 The Lady Bison defeated teams from Wichita State, Arkansas as well as the four other competing GAC schools. Following the meet, Oklahoma Baptist leapt from unranked to No. 2 in the USTFCCCA Central Region rankings....
