FAYETTEVILLE – Sixteenth-ranked Oklahoma Baptist took second in Division II at the Chile Pepper Festival, placing ahead of No. 12 Dallas Baptist in third.
"This was a fantastic performance for our team," said Lady Bison Coach Matt Kennedy. "Our average time of 17:46.30 is a school record. We ran 18:05 here last year and beat that at Missouri Southern and smashed it here today."
Abby Hoover led in fourth at 17:20.3 in the 5k. Sydney Lawrence followed in eighth at 17:38.8 and Kaylee Crowson was 14th at 17:44.4.
Still in the top 30, Emily Sechrist and Zoya Timoshenko placed 24th at 17:59.3 and 28...
