Second suspect charged in Missouri interstate shooting

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) — A second suspect has been charged in the shooting death of a man at a convenience store near Kansas City.

The Kansas City Star reports that 18-year-old Donovan James was charged Monday in Jackson County with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. He's accused of firing shots from a vehicle at another vehicle.

The indictment comes two days after the county prosecutor's office charged 26-year-old Michael Dumas with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the same investigation.
