October 27, 2017

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women's golf team battled back after a rough opening round of 355 and posted a respectable round of 330 to wrap up the first day of competition in the 2017 Henderson State Fall Classic.

Senior Olivia Brock showed grit and responded after an opening round of 93 to post a second round of 79, the best turnaround of any golfer in the event between the two rounds. Brock's resilience after a rough opening stretch of holes saw her play the final 26 holes of the day at just eight-over par.

Brock sits in a tie for 30th place while junior Brittani Casement led the Rangers for the second tournament in a row with rounds of 86-82 for a total of 168. Sophomore Hallie Ward matched Casement's total of 168 with rounds of 83-85.

Northwestern' scoring team was rounded out by junior Kelsi Wilson and freshman Ashley Wilson, who posted totals of 179 (95-84) and 180 (93-87), respectively.
