Fire at vacant Oklahoma City high-rise causes no injuries

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — For the second time in as many months, Oklahoma City firefighters have responded to a fire inside a vacant downtown high-rise building.
More than 60 workers were evacuated Saturday when a small fire broke out at the 33-story First National Building. No injuries were reported.
The fire was confined to the 8th floor of the unoccupied building and was prevented from spreading to adjacent floors. Firefighters say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Officials say a separate fire on Nov. 5 was due to an electrical issue associated with extensive remodeling that is underway at the 446-foot-tall art deco structure.
The First National Center, built in 1931, is undergoing interior demolition and asbestos abatement as part of a multi-million dollar renovation project that was launched earlier this year.
