Ladybugs suffer first loss of season against Fairview

It's always a challenging game when the Alva Ladybugs and the Fairview Lady Yellowjackets meet. Going into the Friday night game in Alva, neither team had lost. The Class 3A Ladybugs were 4-0 while the Class 2A Jackets were 6-0.
Fairview came out of the longtime rivalry matchup winning 45 to 33. Up to halftime, the game could have gone either way. Fairview led 9-7 at the end of the first quarter, and Alva was on top 16-15 at the half. The Ladybugs' defense was strong in the first half of the game, but they lost momentum in the third period which ended at 31-25 in Fairview's favor, and Alva jus...
