For the second time in December of 2017, the Barber County Courthouse courtroom in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, was packed Friday, Dec. 22. This was the second hearing regarding the death of Steven Myers, age 42.

Myers died Oct. 6 in an officer-involved shooting in Sun City, where he resided with his wife Kristina and young children. As reported previously, the sheriff's office had responded to a call that Myers had a gun and was threatening people outside a bar in the tiny town. When officers arrived Myers was reportedly in a shed, unarmed and was shot with a bean bag round by an officer and died....
