Shkot Earns GAC Honor

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's Kateryna Shkot earned Great American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors, the league announced Wednesday.
Shkot, a senior from Kiev, Ukraine, was 4-0 on the week. She scored a three-set win in second singles over No. 12 Drury's Chung-yen Guang and combined with partner Tahlia Walsh for a No. 2 doubles win, 5-4.
Shkot also claimed a straight set No. 2 singles win over Lindenwood's Anna Barbasheva and then teamed up with Kim Moosbacher for a No. 1 doubles victory over Dana Minakova and Barbasheva.
Shkot is 58-10 all-time in No. 1 doubles.
