Interest meeting for Study Abroad trip to Italy in 2019 set for March 29

The first interest meeting for the 2019 Study Abroad trip to Italy is set for March 29 at 10 a.m. at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

The meeting may be attended in Fine Arts 229 in Alva, as well as in the Enid and Woodward conference rooms.

Study Abroad trips are open to all Northwestern students and employees, as well as the general public.

Anyone interested in earning course credit may enroll in UNIV 2013 – Global Citizenship, which will be offered during the spring semester.

“Every year we have travelers join our trip who aren't taking it for course credit,” said Shannon Leaper, Study Abroad co-group leader and research and instructional services librarian at Northwestern. “We welcome anyone interested in joining one of our trips.”

Those planning to go on the trip will save $250 if they sign up by April 15.

The 10-day trip to Italy in May 2019 will include stops in Venice, Florence, Assisi, Sorrento and Rome.

“The chance to study abroad is a once in a lifetime learning opportunity,” Leaper said.

For more information contact Leaper at [email protected] or 580-327-8572 or Dr. Wayne McMillin, co-group leader and dean of the Enid campus, at [email protected] or 580-213-3116.
