Henderson State's Sarah Wright was named Great American Conference Golfer of the Week announced by the conference office Wednesday.

The senior from Fayetteville, Ark. led Henderson to a first-place finish at the Diffie Ford-Lincoln Invitational earlier this week in Edmond, Okla.

Wright tied for second among 95 players with a 36-hole total of 149 on the par 70, 5,821-yard Kickingbird Golf Course

Playing through strong winds, Wright carded a 5-over par 75 on Monday and then followed with the best individual round on Tuesday with a 4-over par 74.
