An Alva man has been charged with child abuse with injury in Garfield County. Michael Zimmerman, 36, was charged March 5 with child abuse with injury, a felony. Online court records show his bond was set at $100,000 and was posted on March 5. This charge carries a penalty of up to life imprisonment and/or a fine of $500 to $5,000.
