WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Southeastern took a lead into the seventh inning on the road against Southwestern Oklahoma State, but was unable to hang on for the win, falling 9-6 in the series opener on Friday afternoon in Weatherford, Okla.
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 8-11 overall and 4-6 in Great American Conference play with a noon double-header slated for Saturday in Weatherford, Okla.
Brett Akins, Joseph Cerda, and Cade Clay each logged a pair of hits, while Bryce Deatherage, Austin Ferguson, Easton Elliott, Harrison Whitworth, and Jett Swigart each added one hit.
