Lubbock Christian slugs its way to sweep of Eagles

LUBBOCK, Texas (March 23, 2018) – No. 14-ranked Lubbock Christian (Texas) rolled up 33 hits while posting a doubleheader sweep of Oklahoma Christian on Friday, winning 10-3 and 17-12 as both teams opened their Heartland Conference baseball schedules.
Oklahoma Christian (9-12, 0-2 Heartland) had 26 hits of its own in the doubleheader, but two big innings by Lubbock Christian – one in each game – proved to be the Eagles' undoing. Lubbock Christian (17-7, 2-0) posted a seven-run second inning in the first game and a nine-run fifth inning in the second game.
