Goldbugs baseball wins two on Friday

 


CHANDLER, Okla. – A rainout on Thursday may just have been what the Alva Goldbugs baseball team needed. After consecutive losses where they were outscored by 18 runs, the Bugs earned a pair of wins in Chandler on Friday afternoon.

No. 14 Alva (10-6) started the afternoon with a come-from-behind win against Guthrie, 7-5, their third win over a 5A team this season. The Bugs and No. 11 Chandler then needed three extra innings to decide their matchup, with the Bugs scoring two in the tenth for a 12-10 victory.
