Record high jump nets Stanford weekly GAC honor

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 3, 2018) – A high jump that set an Oklahoma Christian record and matched the best this season in NCAA Division II earned McKenzie Stanfordrecognition Tuesday as the Great American Conference's women's field athlete of the week.
At the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on Saturday, Stanford demolished OC's high jump record by 1¾ inches, jumping 5 feet, 9¾ inches (1.77 meters) to meet the NCAA Division II automatic qualifying standard. It matched the highest outdoor jump in Division II in 2018 as well as the OBU facility record.
