Takanashi Clinches Harding Women's Tennis Comeback Victory

SEARCY – For the second straight year, Harding women's tennis lost all three doubles matches at home to Arkansas-Fort Smith, only to come back and win five singles contests and take the match 5-4.

The clinching point came from junior Arisa Takanashi at No. 1 singles. Takanashi broke a 4-4 tie by winning 6-3, 2-6, 6-2, her team-leading 16th singles win of the season.

All three doubles matches were close Tuesday, but Harding found itself in a 3-0 hole.

Then the singles wins started rolling in, and it was Harding's seniors that pulled the Lady Bisons back. The trio of Emily Faulkner, Laura Golubi...
