Lady Muleriders suffer loss to Southern Nazarene at the GAC Tournament Championships, 4-5

 


BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Lady Mulerider softball team suffered a loss to Southern Nazarene at the GAC Tournament Championships that saw all five of SNU's runs score unearned in a final decision of 4-5.

HIGHLIGHTS & HAPPENINGS

The Crimson Storm got on the board first in the contest and took a 1-0 lead in the third inning after scoring an unearned run on an RBI double in the left-center field gap.

SAU would tie the game in the following inning after SNU opted to pitch to Megan Godoyowhere she would deliver with an RBI two-out single to right field that plated Faith Otts.

SAU took the lead in the fifth inning after an infield single by Otts scored Hallie Saintignanand made it 2-0, but SNU would regain the lead in the bottom of that frame as they scored four runs on three hits, aided by one error, to take a 5-2 advantage.

A pair of solo dingers for SAU over the next two innings off the bats of Sarah Pitre and Brooke Goad would attempt to get the Lady Muleriders back in the game, but would not be enough as SNU secured the eventual win at a final decision of 5-4.

UP NEXT

The Lady Muleriders are currently in an elimination game with Southeastern Oklahoma.
