Pehkonen earns USTFCCCA honor for 3rd straight year; Eagles receive team award

 


NEW ORLEANS (July 26, 2018) – For the third straight year, Oklahoma Christian sprinter Sawyer Pehkonen was honored Thursday as an All-Academic individual for track and field by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Pehkonen, a senior Mechanical Engineering major from Fort Collins, Colo., was among the 308 NCAA Division II men who earned the honor. To qualify, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 and have posted a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships during either the indoor or outdoor seasons....
