Police in Oklahoma Panhandle investigate 2 weekend deaths

GUYMON, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in the Oklahoma Panhandle are investigating a pair of deaths that occurred over the weekend.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Rodney Prieto was arrested in Texas County on Sunday on a first-degree murder complaint. Investigators say he's accused in the death of Jesus Alfredo Alvarez Catalon.

Authorities say Catalon was the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck and killed Rodney Prieto's brother, 25-year-old Robert Prieto. Officials allege that Rodney Preito then fatally shot Catalon.

Police in Guymon, about 237 miles (381 kilometers) northwest of Oklahoma City, and officials from other law enforcement agencies apprehended Rodney Prieto. The OSBI says the Texas County District Attorney's office will determine what formal charges will be filed in the case.
