BETHANY, Okla. — West Texas A&M fired 35 shots in the game as they took down Southern Nazarene 6-1 at Wes Harmon Field on Thursday night.

The Crimson Storm (1-4) tallied just five shots, two of those being on goal while the Buffs (5-1) landed 19 shots on target. SNU took just one shot in the first half, while WTAMU tallied 20.

West Texas A&M got on the board in the 14th minute to take a 1-0 lead, and carried that lead into halftime. They netted another goal in the 62nd minute to add to that lead, making it 2-0. Kelsi Bussert was fouled inside the box in the 83rd minute, and the senior put the ensuing PK in the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season.

The Buffs added four more goals, all of those coming in the last five minutes of the match as they cruised from there.

Bussert's shot on goal was one of two as DeLaney Stewart recorded the other. Goalkeeper Ashlynn Pritchett had an unbelievable first half, tallying nine saves as she finished with a season-high 13 on the night.
