Womens Basketball: Golden Suns picked second in GAC preseason poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Coming off a season that saw the Arkansas Tech women's basketball team advance to its fourth straight NCAA postseason, the Golden Suns were picked to finish second in this year's preseason poll, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The Golden Suns, who return seven players from a squad that went 26-4 last season and won the 2018 GAC Tournament, earned one of the possible 11 first-place votes — coaches cannot vote for their own team — and 108 points to come in behind Southwestern Oklahoma State, which garnered 11 first-place votes and 121 points overall
