October 24, 2018

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU junior forward Alimata Rabo has been named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. The award was announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Rabo earns the honor for the 11th time as a Bulldog after leading SWOSU to a 2-0 weekend and season sweeps of Harding and Ouachita, recording three goals and two assists totaling eight points for the weekend. Rabo netted two huge goals for the Bulldogs against Harding, as her first goal of the match would tie the game and her second would give SWOSU a one goal lead early in the second half. She would continue to be a force in the Bulldogs match against Ouachita scoring one goal and assisting on two other goals.

Rabo currently sits second in Division II in several categories including goals scored with 19 on the season and points earning 47 this season. This is the second consecutive week SWOSU Soccer has had a player named the conference player of the week as Memory Phiri was named the Offensive Player of the Week previously. This marks the eighth total GAC Player of the Week award for the Bulldogs this season.

SWOSU Soccer will return to action Thursday as they take on Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee at 6:00 pm.
