An Alva man has been charged with distributing obscene material using social media. Dalton Wayne Mahoney, 27, of Alva, is charged with preparing, distributing and/or exhibiting obscene material and with violation of Oklahoma statute via computer, both felonies.

Court records show Mahoney is accused of transmitting sexually explicit images to minor children while using Snapchat and his cellphone between August 6, 2017, and December 5, 2018.
