ECU Women's Basketball Picks Up First Home Win

ADA – The East Central University women's basketball team picked up its first victory in the Kerr Activities Center, with a 77-56 Great American Conference victory against Northwestern Oklahoma State.

First Quarter: 22-15

Second Quarter: 16-18 (38-33)

Third Quarter: 20-11 (58-44)

Fourth Quarter: 19-12

There were technical difficulties during the women's game that will be corrected Dec. 18

The Tigers head into the holiday break with a 6-3 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the GAC

ECU is 1-1 when playing league opponents at home

The Tigers saw four players score in double digits

Jr. Stefany Lourenco: 17 pts., 4 reb. 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

Sr. Lakin Preisner: 14 pts., 9 reb., 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block

Sr. Tia Williams: 13 pts., 5 reb., 2 assists, 1 steal

So. Kendall Schulte: 10 pts

ECU used an 11-0 run between 8:48 and 4:39 in the third quarter to take control of the game

The Tigers led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter

ECU's next game will be the final non-conference game of the regular season
