I-70 closed near Colorado border because of Kansas storm

BURLINGTON, Colo. (AP) — Interstate 70 near the Colorado's eastern border has been closed because of the winter storm in Kansas.

Eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed from Burlington to the Kansas line around midday Thursday. The roads were clear on the Colorado side but wind gusts of up to 45 mph were expected through the afternoon.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says there's no estimated time for reopening the highway.
